Cable Support - Parental Control Options
To lock a specific channel:
Press the Menu button on your ATMC remote. Use the ARROW keys to scroll over to Viewer Services and choose the Parental Control option by pressing the OK button. Using the ARROW keys, scroll down to Lock Channels and choose the specific channel(s) you would like to lock. A "Locked Icon" will appear beside the channel when you have successfully blocked the channel. All locked channels will be unavailable for viewing. These channels may be unblocked temporarily by entering your 4 digit PIN number.
To lock by rating:
Press the Menu button on your ATMC remote. Use the ARROW keys to scroll over to Viewer Services and choose the Parental Control option by pressing the OK button. Using the ARROW keys, scroll to the Lock Rating option and choose the specific rating(s) you would like to lock. Any show on any channel with the rating locked will be unavailable for viewing.
To set up your PIN:
Press the Menu button on your ATMC remote. Use the ARROW keys to scroll over to Viewer Services and choose the Parental Control option by pressing the OK button. Choose a four digit pin number (follow the on-screen instructions). Remember your PIN number for future use.
To turn on Locking:
Press the Menu button on your ATMC remote. Use the ARROW keys to scroll over to Viewer Services and choose the Parental Control option by pressing the OK button. Use the ARROW keys to scroll to Locked Status.
Choose ON. You may also disable the lock feature by choosing OFF/Disable.
When tuning to a channel or show that has been locked, you will receive the following message "Viewing is blocked due to Parental Control". You must then enter your PIN number to view the show or channel or you may turn off Parental Controls.
